Description

The lighthouse that was once attached to this cottage, began operating on January 1st 1858. It was the first navigational light for the port of Albany on the south coast of Western Australia and the second lighthouse to be built on WA's coastline. All that remains today are the external walls of the keeper's cottage and the concrete slab on which the timber framed lighthouse stood.
